Diffuse Redness Treatment
At Aesthetic Beauty Lab in Apple Valley, MN, we use the Candela GentleMax Pro Plus with 1064 nm Nd:YAG technology to gently treat the chronic redness, flushing, and visible vessels associated with rosacea and diffuse redness. The deep-penetrating wavelength selectively targets the dilated blood vessels causing your redness, sealing them so your skin can return to an even tone.
Treatment is $300 per session, and we treat only the areas of your face affected by redness. Most clients see dramatic improvement after their full series.
Serving Apple Valley, Burnsville, Eagan, Lakeville, Rosemount, Farmington, Bloomington, Prior Lake, Savage, Minneapolis, and Saint Paul.
Step by Step
01
We evaluate your redness pattern, identify triggers, and confirm you are a candidate for Nd:YAG vascular laser. We discuss skincare and trigger management alongside treatment.
02
The Nd:YAG 1064 nm wavelength selectively targets oxyhemoglobin in dilated vessels. Energy converts to heat, gently coagulating the vessel wall.
03
A cryogen burst cools the skin before each pulse. No vessel popping, no bruising, no purpura. Just gradual calming.
04
Closed vessels clear over 2 to 6 weeks. Sessions repeat every 4 to 6 weeks. Most clients see dramatic improvement after their full series.
Clinical Presentation
Chronic overall facial redness that does not resolve on its own. Common in rosacea, post-inflammatory states, and clients with naturally ruddy complexions.
Recurring episodes of redness triggered by heat, stress, exercise, alcohol, or food and drink. Laser treatment calms the underlying vessels and reduces flush intensity over time.
Diffuse redness across the cheeks, nose, and chin that creates a consistent baseline. Treatment targets the broader vascular network for an even, calmer complexion.
Fine visible capillaries beneath the skin surface. The Nd:YAG laser precisely seals these vessels for clearer, smoother-looking skin.
Inflammatory lesions present in more active rosacea presentations. Laser treatment helps reduce the underlying vascular inflammation driving these flares.

The Candela GentleMax Pro Plus uses the 1064 nm Nd:YAG wavelength, which is the safest laser wavelength for all skin types, including deeper skin tones (Fitzpatrick I to VI). Unlike Alexandrite-based pigment treatments, Nd:YAG penetrates deeper without targeting melanin, making it ideal for vascular concerns across the full skin tone spectrum.
The 1064 nm Nd:YAG laser delivers light energy selectively absorbed by oxyhemoglobin in your dilated blood vessels. This energy converts to heat, gently coagulating the vessel wall through controlled thermal damage. The closed vessel is then cleared by your body's immune system over the following weeks. Surrounding skin is untouched. There is no vessel popping, no bruising, and no purpura, just gradual calming of redness.
Mild redness and slight swelling for 24 to 48 hours is normal, similar to a light sunburn. Most clients return to regular activities the same day. Benefits include calmer, clearer skin, reduced frequency and intensity of flushing episodes, decreased skin sensitivity, and less reliance on heavy redness-correcting makeup.
Most clients benefit from a series of 3 to 5 sessions spaced 4 to 6 weeks apart. Severity of redness, trigger management, and lifestyle factors all influence the number of sessions needed. We assess at consultation and adjust as your skin responds.
Most clients describe each pulse as a quick rubber-band snap followed immediately by cooling. The Candela GentleMax Pro Plus includes a built-in Dynamic Cooling Device that protects the skin and keeps discomfort minimal. No topical numbing is typically needed.
Treatment is $300 per session regardless of how many facial areas we treat. Most clients invest in a series of 3 to 5 sessions for optimal results. Final treatment plan is confirmed at consultation.
Rosacea is a chronic condition without a cure, but laser treatment dramatically reduces visible symptoms (redness, flushing, visible vessels). Combined with trigger management, sunscreen, and gentle skincare, most clients achieve long-lasting calm and clearer skin. Annual maintenance sessions are common.
