What to expect at your lip filler appointment

Before

Your injector talks through your goals, looks at your lip shape and facial balance, and reviews your medical history. If your doctor allows, avoid alcohol and blood-thinning supplements like fish oil for a day or two before your visit to lower the chance of bruising.

During

Numbing is used to keep you comfortable. Filler is placed in small amounts and shaped as we go, so you can see the result build. The appointment takes about 60 minutes.

After

Swelling and tenderness are normal for a few days and can look uneven at first. Your final shape settles in about 3 weeks. For 24 hours, skip hard workouts, heat like saunas, and pressure on your lips.

Before treatment, we ask about any history of keloids or heavy scarring. Deeper skin tones can sometimes get dark marks after bruising or swelling, so we use careful technique and aftercare to lower that risk. Hyaluronic acid filler can also be dissolved if needed, for extra peace of mind.

The Signature Lip is our full lip enhancement treatment, using one or more syringes of hyaluronic acid filler to create custom-shaped, fuller lips. We approach every lip individually, looking at facial balance, lip ratio, and your goals to design a result that complements your features.

Not with us. We are known for natural-looking lips. We start conservative, layer carefully, and prioritize shape over size. Most clients are surprised at how natural their lips feel and look, even after a full syringe. If you want a more dramatic look, we can absolutely build to that, but we never start there.

Lips swell for the first 24 to 72 hours, sometimes more in the upper lip. By day 7 the swelling is largely gone, and by day 14 you see the final shape. Lip filler typically lasts 9 to 12 months, though some clients metabolize it faster, especially active or athletic clients.
