Tox Foundation vs. Tox Advanced: Which Botox Course Is Right for You?

A simple guide to choosing your next step in neurotoxin training.

By Nikita Musta, RN · 5 min read · Injector Training

Nurses often ask me which course they should start with. The answer depends on where you are right now. If you have never injected, start with Foundation. If you are already injecting and want to grow, Advanced is your next step. Here is how they compare.

Tox Foundation: for new injectors

Tox Foundation is built for licensed professionals who are new to aesthetics. Over 2 days, you learn:

  • Facial anatomy and the muscles behind expression lines
  • Client consultation and assessment
  • Botox, Jeuveau and Dysport basics and dosing
  • Safety, contraindications and managing complications
  • Hands-on injecting on live models, with an instructor watching your technique

Tox Advanced: for injectors ready to grow

Tox Advanced builds on your foundation. Over 2 days, you move beyond the upper face into advanced neurotoxin areas, with refined dosing and hands-on practice on live models. Tox Advanced covers:

  • Bunny lines on the sides of the nose
  • Brow lift with neurotoxin
  • Gummy smile
  • Lip flip
  • Platysmal bands in the neck
  • Jawline and Nefertiti lift
  • DAO (downturned corners of the mouth)
  • Chin dimpling (pebbled chin)

Can I take both?

Yes. Many nurses take Foundation first, build their confidence, then come back for Advanced. Some take them close together. We will help you choose the timing that fits your experience.

Mentorship with every course

Both courses include mentorship with me: 1-on-1 sessions, group mentorship, observation days in our Apple Valley med spa, and text and phone support after training. That support is what helps you go from certified to confident.
