How microneedling works on acne scars

- Rolling scars and boxcar scars usually respond best.
- Deep icepick scars often need a different approach, which your provider can talk through with you.
- Flat dark marks left after breakouts are not true scars. Chemical peels like the VI Peel are often a better fit for those.
How many sessions you will need
Most people need a series of three sessions spaced 4 to 6 weeks apart. Acne scar improvement takes months, and deeper scarring may need more sessions. Your provider will build a plan around your skin.
